Keizo KITAJIMA born in 1954 in Nagano Prefecture. In 1975, held his first solo exhibition "BC Street". In 1991, he published the photo book "A.D.1991", which took pictures of various places in Europe, America and Asia. Around this time, he shifted his focus to the PORTRAITS series and the UNTITLED RECORDS series. He has held numerous exhibitions both domestically and internationally.

 

His major photo books include 《Photo Express Tokyo》,《NEW YORK》,《EUROPIAN DIARY》and《USSR1991》. ]. His notable awards include the Photographic Society of Japan Newcomer's Award (1981), the 8th Kimura Ihei Award (1983), the 32nd Ina Nobuo Award (2007), and the 41st Ken Domon Award (2022).
