Associate professor in the Department of Visual Communication Design in Kun Shan University
Chiu, Kuo-Chun completed a master's fine arts degree in Photography, SUNY. In the past Chiu has taken the role of the director in the Department of Motion Picture and Video, Media Arts Graduate School, and Arts Center, as well as being a founding member of the Taiwan Photography Museum. His academic specialties are Contemporary Photography Production, Cross-Disciplinary Media Integration and Research, Visual Arts Curation and Discourse, Advertisement Planning and Creative Media, so on and so forth.
His works have been displayed in Taipei Fine Arts Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, and Tainan Art Museum. They have also been featured in international exhibitions including New York, Chicago, Kyoto, Tokyo, The Saatchi Gallery, Cesenatico, Krasnoyarsk Museum Center, Gwangju Art Museum, as well as Shanghai, Kunming, Pingyao, Dali. He was also the winner of Kaohsiung Award In 2014.
Other than his own, Chiu has also planned important exhibitions such as Landscape of Kaohsiung, Taiwan x Okinawa Contemporary Artist Exchange Convention, Taipei Photography Festival, and the 1st Kaohsiung Photography Festival.
